Instructor Clinic

North Texas Referee Program is looking for individuals with an interest in becoming an instructor. This individual should have obtained a referee Grade 07 (this requirement may be waived to persons in areas of North Texas that are in dire need of instructors), have some type of instructional or leadership background, at least a casual knowledge of computers (PowerPoint and Excel a plus), enjoy working with young people and are ready to give back to the soccer community.

The clinic will be held 6:00pm, June 27th thru 5:00pm, June 29th at the North Texas State Soccer office.

If you possess the above qualities and are interested in becoming an instructor, send a short resume to Art Keeton, the State Director of Instruction. The resume should include referee grade, the name of your local Association, and work and/or volunteer work as it applies to instruction. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance, as attendance is by invitation only.

All Referee Clinic

Who: All referees wishing to recertify for 2009 or seeking promotion to Grade 07.
Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel, 14315 Midway Rd (between Spring Valley and Belt Line), Addison
When: Saturday, July 19, 2008
Time: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Fitness test: 7: 00AM - Jesuit - 12345 Inwood Rd, Dallas
Dress code: Knit shirt and slacks. Shorts, warm-ups or jeans are not acceptable at this clinic.

This clinic will include two sessions, each providing the required five hours of instruction and appropriate test.

The first session will serve as a Referee in-service clinic for Grades 07, 08 and 09 and will fulfill the recertification requirements for 2009. This session will also serve as an advancement clinic for those seeking promotion from Grade 08 to Grade 07. Grade 08 referees who intend to use this clinic to seek promotion to Grade 07 must also pass the fitness and written tests and pay their $35.00 assessment fee at this clinic in order to be placed on the Advancement List.

The second session will serve as a Referee in-service clinic for Grades 05 and 06 and will fulfill the recertification requirements for 2009.
